Abstract

This research focuses on the Hadith evidence employed by Yusuf ibn Ismail al-Nisaburi in his seminal work Masha'ar al-Lugha, a significant linguistic text from the ninth century AH. The objective of this research is to analyse the manner in which Yusuf ibn Ismail al-Nisaburi employs hadiths to substantiate linguistic issues, and the extent to which these hadiths meet the criteria of the science of hadith. Additionally, this research aims to examine their influence on the interpretation of words and meanings.

The research adopts a critical analytical approach, whereby the hadiths are categorised according to their linguistic themes, studied in terms of their authenticity and authenticity, and their impact on building the linguistic base. The results of the study indicate the extent to which scholars of the modern era have been interested in incorporating hadithic evidence in linguistic studies, and the extent of its impact on the development of the Arabic linguistic lesson.
