The poet Shams al-Din al-Hashimi al-Kufi emerged as a creative poet, who is referred to at the time of the fall of the Islamic Caliphate in Baghdad at the hands of the Tartar army Mongols, and the poet Shams al-Din al-Kufi is considered the most prominent who documented and portrayed the horrific events, and what happened in terms of destruction and devastation, killing and displacement by the remnants of the Mongols. These tragedies stirred latent feelings to paint with his words the mixing of thought and emotion. So, he issued to generations an influential poetry Lamentation of Baghdad, which is So Al-Kufi grew up and was known as a poet , a commando, a fighter, performing his role towards his wounded city, and his elegy for Baghdad, which is considered the preamble of his poetry, and Shams al-Din Al-Kufi was famous as a poet although he was a preacher As a result, I decided to study his elegy for his city Baghdad while seeing its different image, which brought about by the Mongol tyranny and brutality that wreaked corruption on the land, and this research was titled: Creativity and Rhetoric in Shams AL-Din AL-Kufi’s Elegy – Rhetorical Study, and the ink was poured in showing some of the rhetorical richness in the elegy of Shams al-Din al-Kufi, as allowed by the research space ...
