Abstract

This research examines and critically analyzes the most prominent suspicions raised by Orientalists regarding the miraculous nature of the Holy Quran, attempting to understand their intellectual backgrounds and the approaches they relied on. The research highlights that many of these suspicions do not stem from an objective scientific study of the Quranic text, but rather from preemptive perceptions resulting from different ideological, religious, and cultural backgrounds. The researcher seeks to deconstruct and respond to these suspicions by referring to Quranic sources and respected commentaries, in addition to presenting the efforts of Muslim scholars in defending the Holy Quran and highlighting its rhetorical, legislative, and scientific miraculous aspects. The research also emphasizes the importance of developing a contemporary scientific Quranic discourse capable of confronting Western criticism with a robust methodological approach.

After this critical study of Orientalist doubts concerning the miraculous nature of the Holy Qur'an, it became clear that many Orientalist arguments were not the result of an objective, scholarly reading of the Qur'anic text, but rather were shaped by ideological and cultural biases far removed from sound scientific methodology.

In this research, we have sought to analyze these doubts and expose their methodological shortcomings by referring to authentic Islamic sources and comparing classical and contemporary Orientalist discourse.
