Children represent the building blocks of societies and their continuity. Therefore, childhood requires legal protection, including criminal protection, to create and shape upright individuals who serve society. This requires providing all appropriate conditions to contribute to their upbringing and preparation, especially since this role falls to the child's parents, who are charged with the duty of caring for, monitoring, and protecting the child.
From the perspective of criminal protection of children from domestic violence, it is incumbent upon the child's parents not to use violence against him, as domestic violence represents an imminent danger to children and violates their basic right to protection. Protecting children from various forms of violence is a moral and legal necessity, as various legislations stipulate the right of every child to enjoy physical and mental protection, and to live in a safe environment that does not threaten His safety and well-being.
This research aims to highlight the seriousness of domestic violence, which leaves profound psychological and physical effects on the child, threatening his normal growth and development. The research will also address the role of laws and legislation in providing the necessary criminal protection for the child within the family, and that providing criminal protection for the child is not just a right for him. Rather, it is a collective responsibility that falls on the families, communities, legislators, and law enforcement agencies to ensure a safer and more just future for future generations.
The reality is witnessing the spread of the phenomenon of domestic violence, which represents a stark contradiction between the family's position as an incubator of security and its being a source of threat. This contradiction highlights the urgent need to research "the child's right to criminal protection from domestic violence" to explore the legal mechanisms capable of providing effective protection for the child, which calls for in-depth research into ways to provide criminal protection for them. Violence against children, especially by those with authority over them, such as the child's parents, requires effective legal measures that extend beyond the family to ensure the child's safety and well-being.
