This research addresses the concept of monotheism in the Holy Quran as the cornerstone of Islamic belief and the foundation from which all values and principles derive. The Holy Quran presents monotheism as a universal and existential truth, manifested in the oneness of the Creator and the unity of the cosmic order, thus forming the basis for building the character of the Muslim individual and shaping Islamic society.
The research relied on the objective approach in tracing the Qur’anic verses that dealt with monotheism, and the critical analytical approach in explaining its spiritual, intellectual and social dimensions.. The study showed that monotheism in the Holy Qur’an is not just a theoretical doctrine, but an integrated system that affects man in terms of freeing him from submission to other than God, granting him inner peace, and shaping his behavior according to the values of justice and mercy. Its impact on society is also evident through the consolidation of equality among its members, the promotion of a spirit of solidarity and cooperation, and the formation of a civilized structure based on unity and harmony. The research concludes that monotheism in the Holy Qur’an represents an active force in building the individual and society, as it combines the doctrinal dimension and the practical dimension, and establishes a comprehensive civilizational vision capable of facing intellectual and social challenges throughout history.
