Measuring the level of political awareness among students of the final stages at Al-Muthanna University a field study

Abstract

Political awareness means the ability of individuals to understand local and global political situations and issues so that they have the ability to analyze and link events and develop different outcomes around them. This awareness pushes them to change the existing situation and develop it in a way that suits their convictions, and their understanding of developments in the issues and processes that shape society. Awareness among individuals does not It comes within a short period of time, but it requires a long time during which the individual goes through a series of experiences, experiences, and positions that develop depending on the extent of his learning and his interest in developing his political awareness, and measuring the level of political awareness among students is considered It is an indicator of the extent of their awareness of political issues, and the evaluation of political ideologies and current affairs. This gives an opportunity for teachers and policy makers to identify areas of improvement in civic education, and to develop plans to develop and enhance students’ political awareness and produce individuals who are informed about the future and participate in it.

       The study aims to show the extent to which political awareness differs among university students depending on the variables of the study. As for the study’s methodology, it relied on the descriptive statistics approach to analyze the data according to the statistical analysis program SPSS, to come up with recommendations that work to enhance political awareness among individuals.
