Abstract

This research sheds light on the Gulf War disease, its symptoms, causes, an d the announcement of its spread in 1996. This is a mysterious and controversial topic due to the government blackout surrounding it by the governments of both the United States and Britain, To remove the ambiguity surrounding this topic, it is necessary to answer the following vague questions: First, what are the reasons for the government's cover-up of this disease? Did the American and British media contribute to its announcement? Second ,can Gulf War disease be considered the most dangerous consequence of the Second Gulf War in 1991? Third, what weapons did the coalition forces use in Iraq in 1991 that caused the emergence and spread of the disease? Fourth, is Gulf War disease the same disease that appeared in Iraq after 1991? The study concluded that despite the United States and Britain's attempts to conceal the truth about their use of depleted uranium by not acknowledging the Gulf War disease, the media played the largest role in forcing the government to reveal the causes of the disease, acknowledge it, and announce it.  The result was that victory in the Second Gulf War turned into a tragedy, as they lost approximately 25% to 30% of the forces involved in the war, in addition to the health and environmental damage.
