Abstract

Ibn Habib was born and raised in Aleppo, which was one of the most important Levant provinces during the Bahri Mamluk era (648-784 AH/1250-1382 AD), as he was one of the men close to this state, and he held some administrative positions in it. He enjoyed a high academic standing among the scholars of his time, as Ibn Habib Al-Halabi studied at the hands of the best scholars of his time. Ibn Habib Al-Halabi’s sheikhs were distinguished by his abundance of knowledge, eloquence of speech, and prestige in society. It became clear from this study that the style of Ibn Habib Al-Halabi, which he presented in his book Al-Muqtada from the Biography of the Chosen One, may God bless him and grant him peace, was an easy and clear style, far from ambiguous expressions, difficult words, exaggeration, and exaggeration. Ibn Habib Al-Halabi’s writings were characterized by accuracy, organization, high correctness, and precision in determining the components of the historical event, including the time and place of its occurrence and the number of participants in it. Ibn Habib Al-Halabi also adhered to the unity of the subject in his narrations on the biography of the Prophet, as he succeeded in providing a comprehensive overview of all aspects of the biography of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, from his birth until his death.
