A proposed strategy for secondary education in the Arab Gulf states for the post - covid 19 pandemic

The study aimed to build up a proposed strategy for secondary education in the Arab Gulf states for the post - covid 19 pandemic, by identifying the challenges faced by both teachers and students in education during the pandemic. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach with the mixed, sequencial and interpretative design was adopted, which combines quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection. To build up the strategy, SWOT analysis was used to analyze the field results. The questionnaire was applied to high school male and female teachers in public education, as well as high school male and female students in public education for the academic year 1442/1443 AH. A random sample of male and female teachers has been chosen, which reached (384) male and female teachers while a stratified simple random sample from the male and female community was chosen, of which (589) students were male, and (1300) students were female to apply the questionnaire tool. A purposive sample of (20) male and female teachers from high school teachers was chosen; the rolling snowball sample was used in the interviews.The study concluded that one of the most prominent challenges that teachers and students faced is the capability to understand the English language to deal with electronic applications. Moreover, teachers also faced the challenge of students' interaction with digital enrichments in the platform, as well as their participation in designing tasks and educational content, to say nothing of other technical and educational challenges
