This research aims to follow the biography of a great scholar and writer from the scholars of the fifth century AH in the country beyond the river, notably the literary judge Abu Jaafar Al-Bahathi Al-Zawzani. Although he is a judge and hadith, most of his poetry has gone against the direction of the poets from the jurists and scholars who followed the teachings of the Islamic religion in their poetry. This was clearly evident in the purpose of satire that was distinguished by al-Bahti, and was unique in it, as it was characterized by obscene and obscene satire among scholars and scholars. The research plan was divided into two sections, the first: entitled (Al-Bahathi Al-Zawzani, his biography and poetic purposes), in which the poet’s biography was presented, including his name, title, birth and upbringing, as well as his culture, works and poetic purposes. He introduced us to the poet and his biography extensively, because this writer had not previously studied or introduced him to him, so this research is unique in this aspect. As for the second topic, it was titled: (Satire of the virtues in the poetry of Al-Bahati Al-Zawzani, motives and connotations), in which I investigated the motives of satire, specifically the spelling of the virtues in the poetry of Al-Bahati Al-Zawzani, which was divided into two parts: the satire of the moral and moral aspects, and satire of absurdity and obscenity.
