Abstract

The members of society suffer from pressures resulting from changes in daily life and at all levels, including social, educational, political and economic. Familiarity and courage social support types, including advice or a kind word or the provision of money or a set of information that benefit the individual in his life. The subjective vitality makes an effective contribution to mental health and lasting well-being and because it represents the individual’s ability to resist stress under pressure by not showing negative feelings that Decreased subjective vitality leads to increased suffering of students in the fields of education and work, and the increase in subjective vitality enables students to organize and control their thoughts and behaviors in a purposeful manner.The current research aimed at the following: 1- Measuring the perceived social support and self-vitality among university students 2- Knowing the differences in the perceived social support and self-vitality according to gender (males - females) 3- Identifying the correlation between the perceived social support and self-vitality. In order to achieve the objectives of the current research, the researcher adopted two tools of perceived social support and it consists of (29) items, and subjective vitality consists of (40) items, enjoying honesty and stability. Research Results as following: 1- Students are characterized by the presence of perceived social support and subjective vitality. 2- There are no statistically significant differences between males and females in perceived social support and subjective vitality. 3- There is a correlation between perceived social support and subjective vitality
