Abstract

This paper examines the complex relationship between language, culture and environment through the example of Kurdish. Using the theoretical framework of "language ecology" and "language stability" The study claims that the Kurdish language is not only a naked means of communication, but also a valuable environmental heritage and a rich storehouse of 'Traditional Ecological Knowledge' or (TEK), which has emerged over thousands of years of Kurdish human interaction with the Zagros ecosystem.

The research consists of two main parts. The first part deals with the theoretical principles and the science of the current situation and explains how environmental science is encoded in the words and literature of nations; How political, social and technological factors threaten this ecosystem. In the second part, scientific strategies based on cultural stability to revive and strengthen the Kurdish language are presented, highlighting the measures and future perspectives.

This study emphasizes that the preservation of the Kurdish language is a necessary and important step to achieve stable and inclusive expansion; Preserving cultural identity and preserving the common heritage of humanity.

From this perspective, linguistic diversity and biodiversity are two sides of the same coin. This essential connection reflects the concept of biocultural diversity, which emphasizes that human science for environmental management has been formulated through language.

Therefore, in the same way that the loss of weeds and animals upsets the biological balance; The weakening of environmental dialects and phrases in any language (Kurdish) will interrupt the chain of transmission of local knowledge and create a dangerous knowledge gap.
