Abstract

This study highlights the importance of grammar in guiding jurisprudential issues, given its close connection to the sensitivity of jurisprudential texts. As a science based on the interpretation of religious texts, including Quranic verses and Prophetic hadiths, jurists have relied on it as a tool to strengthen and reinforce jurisprudential opinions. From this standpoint, grammar is considered one of the instrumental sciences that a jurist cannot do without; it is inconceivable that a true jurist exists without a grasp of grammar.                       .

The study examined the commentary in question, Al-Shabramalsi's commentary, considering the extent to which grammatical issues are employed therein to guide jurisprudential rulings and support the chosen opinion. To demonstrate this importance, we shed light on some of the grammatical issues included in this commentary on the book (Nihayat al-Muhtaj ila Sharh al-Minhaj), selecting specific examples of noun issues to demonstrate the role of grammar in guiding them.
