Abstract

"This study focuses on the art of information (al-khabar), which is one of the important arts in the science of semantics (ilm al-ma'ani). It manifests in poetry in various types and forms. This study emphasizes the forms of information that appear within the poems of the famous poet, Sabri. In his poetry, Sabri has skillfully demonstrated his mastery in utilizing these different forms of information."

This study, titled "Predication Styles in the Poetry of (Sabri)," highlights the importance of the predicate/informative sentence (Khabar) in the arts of rhetoric, as it is a key element of the science of meanings (Ilm al-Ma'ani). This rhetoric device is prominently featured in Kurdish poetry in general, and specifically in the poems of the poet Sabri. Through these works, several facts regarding predication styles are revealed, as the poet often needs to express their message in an informative manner.

·         Research Methodology: The methodology adopted for this study is the "Descriptive-Analytical Method."

·         Reason for Selecting the Topic: This study provides significant value and benefit to researchers and future studies conducted in the field of the art of predication (Khabar)

·           This study consists of an introduction and two chapters. The first chapter addresses the concept and definition of semantics (Ilm al-Ma'ani), followed by the concept and introduction of predication (Khabar), as well as the rhetorical purposes and presentation styles of predication in Sabri's poetry. The second chapter discusses the types of predication in terms of truthfulness and falsehood, the types according to the addressee, and concludes with the metaphorical/figurative purposes of predication.
