Abstract

This research, titled Existential Dimensions in Some of Mahwi's Poetic Texts, represents serious and original effort to examine existence and its various forms in the poetic texts of Mahwi, approaching them through the lens of existentialist philosophy and the thought of Heidegger. It seeks to answer such fundamental questions as: What is existence? What are its different types? How do they manifest within the texts of Mahwi as a Sufi poet? What are the most prominent aspects of existentialist philosophy, and how can they be identified and embodied within his poetic texts?

The research was conducted according to the descriptive-analytical method, drawing on the philosophical perspectives of existentialist philosophy and, specifically, Heidegger. It is presented within a framework consisting of an introduction, a conclusion, and two main chapters. The nature of the research title and the method of working in the research requires two applied methods, namely (praise) and (philosophical analysis) and cancellation of the text, in order to praise and explain each aspect (existentialism and Sufi thought). That is why the (praise-analysis) approach is used throughout the study. The research was conducted using a descriptive-analytical approach, drawing on the philosophical perspectives of existentialism, particularly that of Heidegger. It is structured as an introduction, a conclusion, and two main chapters. In addition to the introduction, conclusion, and bibliography, the study comprises two parts and several subsections. Part One: An Introduction to Being and Existentialism: This part aims to present the themes of existentialism, the different types of being, and their relationship to humanity and the world. These parts are organized and divided as follows:

Part One: Concepts and Terminology of Being and Existentialism.

Part Two: Different Types of Being.

Part Three: Being in the World and Being with Others.
