Abstract

Children form strong psychological bonds with the content they watch on television—particularly animated programs—often because they spend so much time immersed in these shows. Consequently, this content has a profound impact, especially regarding key characters; children often develop a close attachment to these figures, regarding them as intimate companions. Thus, these animated series play a significant role in shaping a child's cognitive framework and developing their linguistic and motor skills, as they convey information through engaging, eye-catching styles and colors.

            The study comprises an introduction and three chapters. The first outlines the research methodology—including objectives, significance, the approach adopted, and the study sample—while the second addresses personality, personality types, and relevant theories, alongside a definition of animated series and their importance for children.

The third chapter presents tables dedicated to analyzing the study categories, followed by a review of the findings; key results indicate that "experiential learning" was a prominent personality trait, with a frequency of 223 (46.45%). Additionally, the "attention and concentration" category ranked first with a frequency of 367 (33.50%), followed by the "decision-making" category, with a frequency of 279 (25.45%). From this standpoint, cartoon series formed a large part of the child’s cognitive structure and contributed to the development of his linguistic and motor skills, as they presented information to him with ease and simplicity. They keep pace with his mind, so there are no barriers to what he accepts from information, as they work to direct his behavior towards positivity, making them the helpful part in education with the family. Therefore, parents are keen to choose what their child watches to determine what messages he receives while watching the cartoon series.
