The researcher defined the research problem with the main question: "What is the role of satellite channels in shaping public attitudes toward the implementation of the 2022-2025 government program?"
The research is a descriptive study using a field survey methodology. The research sample represents the Iraqi people in all Iraqi governorates. The sample was limited to (366) respondents from various Iraqi governorates. The time period was defined as 5/1/2025 to 7/31/2025. The research tools (questionnaire and scale) were used, with three main hypotheses and twenty-one sub-paragraphs. The researcher reached the following key findings:
1. The Iraqi Satellite Channel ranked first among the preferred satellite channels for following government program news, followed by Al-Sharqiya and UTV channels, respectively.
2. The news bulletins topped the news formats most preferred for following government program news on Iraqi satellite channels, followed by talk shows and live coverage, respectively.
3. "Handling the Electricity Crisis" section topped the list. As the most prominent paragraphs or topics of the government program are followed by the public, followed by the paragraphs (combating corruption and waste of public funds and combating unemployment and providing job opportunities), respectively.
4. Financial and administrative corruption came first as the most prominent reason for failure and procrastination in implementing several projects within the government program, followed by political and regional interference and weak governmental and parliamentary oversight and follow-up, respectively.
5. The following research hypotheses were confirmed:
1. The media plays a fundamental role in providing the public with information, revealing the ambiguity of issues, expanding beliefs related to them, promoting values, setting priorities, and shaping attitudes toward them.
2. The more the media presents public issues through emotional mechanisms and affective influences, the more interaction with them increases, in one way or another.
3. The initial cognitive and affective effects of the media's coverage of certain issues ultimately lead to behavioral effects on the public.
