The companions and narrators of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him) from the people of the Islamic East, their influence and intellectual activity

Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify the companions and narrators of Imam Muhammad al-jawad (peace be upon him) as glimpses of their lives and contributions were studied as they had a major role in preserving and recording the hadiths of the imam peace be upon him which jurists refer to in their derivation of legal rulings the study focused on the companions and narrators of imam Muhammad al-jawad from the people of the Islamic east who had great merit in preserving the heritage of imam Muhammad al-jawad peace be upon him the research dealt with defining the levant in language and terminology then a brief biography of imam Muhammad al-jawad peace be upon him after that we discussed the companions and narrators of imam Muhammad al- jawad peace be upon him and then a conclusion and a list of sources and references.

Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him) engaged in extensive intellectual activity despite the circumstances and political pressures exerted by the Abbasid authorities. However, he was able to attract a large number of companions and narrators who played a major role in spreading Islamic sciences and knowledge and the culture and thought of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). This was achieved through their transmission of hadiths and narrations issued by him (peace be upon him), as the books of hadith are full of their narrations. The books of biographies and indexes also show that the companions of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him) had a clear written contribution in various fields of religious thought.
