Criticism, Fifth Century.Abstract
The fifth century AH (eleventh century AD) witnessed a remarkable development in literary criticism, as critical issues expanded and were revived by a group of scholars and critics who made objectivity the foundation of their research and their deep engagement with literary and critical matters. In this study, we will attempt to shed light on this Hijri century, the most prominent critical approaches during this period, and the extent to which the critics of that century interacted with, shaped, and addressed these approaches and issues in their works, which often bear explicit titles.
