Abstract

Cybercrimes are characterized by their novelty, speed of execution, and ease of concealment, as well as the precision and speed with which they can be erased. This has resulted in a range of practical challenges and problems that hinder the justice system's ability to address these types of crimes. Investigative and investigative bodies face difficulties in collecting electronic evidence, encountering complex problems and procedures in identifying, proving, and prosecuting these crimes. The educational environment, in particular, is crucial for the quality of learning, which requires acquiring and mastering a range of technologies. Teachers are responsible for ensuring this quality. They transmit knowledge, different thinking styles, and diverse skills related to the subject matter, in addition to social, religious, and ethical values.

The current research aims to define the concept of cybercrimes and their characteristics, identify cybercrimes related to attacks on personal information and privacy, especially within the university setting, highlight crimes of a pornographic and immoral nature, and examine crimes that affect the security and economy of societies in light of Iraqi legislation. It also explores the concept of the educational environment, its components, and its elements. The research concluded that cybercrime is a modern type of crime that emerged due to new scientific developments. It encompasses any criminal act committed using a computer, whether directly or indirectly. Cybercrime is characterized by the difficulty of tracking and detecting it, as it leaves no trace. Instead, it relies entirely on changing data and information theft. Cybercrime also includes characteristics such as new skills, as perpetrators typically belong to the educated class, most of them specialists, and they use the internet extensively, which makes them feel secure from detection. Furthermore, the educational environment is considered a space for scientific ideas and practices, encompassing inputs and processes related to creating learning conditions that allow for the more effective application of learning methods
