Self-efficacy and its Relationship to Alternative Assessment Methods in Light of Modern Trends Among Science Teachers in Primary Education

The current research aims at self-efficacy and its relationship to alternative assessment methods in light of modern trends among male and female science teachers in the primary stage. The current research is limited to male and female science teachers in the primary stage for morning study in Al-Qadisiyah Constructing a scale that measures self-efficacy, which consists of three areas, for science teachers in the primary stage.
Constructing a questionnaire that measures alternative assessment methods, which consist of five areas, for science teachers in the primary stage.
Identifying the extent to which science teachers in the primary stage possess self-efficacy and the differences in their self-efficacy according to the gender variable (male - female).Identifying the extent to which science teachers in the primary stage possess alternative assessment methods in light of modern trends according to the gender variable (male - female).The significance of statistical differences in the correlation between self-efficacy and alternative assessment methods in light of modern trends among science teachers in the primary stageGovernorate for the academic year (2023-2024). The research objectives were as followsTo achieve the research objectives, the researcher relied on the following:
-1 Using the descriptive correlational approach (to reveal self-efficacy, alternative assessment methods in light of modern trends and the relationship between them.
-2 The researcher built a self-efficacy scale, and the scale consists in its final form after completing the discriminatory power, internal consistency, and conditions of validity and stability of the self-efficacy scale, which included in its final form (24) paragraphs with four alternatives distributed over three areas, which are (testing activities, effort expended, perseverance in performing tasks)
The researcher collected information and data. The researcher used the (questionnaire) tool as appropriate for the research community, and it consists of (42) paragraphs distributed over five areas after completing the conditions of validity, reliability and statistical analysis, all of whose psychometric properties were verified. In completion of this, the researcher applied the scale and questionnaire to a sample of (300) male and female teachers for the purposes of statistical analysis, and the basic research sample of (120) primary school science teachers. The researcher relied on data analysis to achieve the research objectives, and analyzed using appropriate statistical methods. After collecting the data and processing it statistically using
1- Primary school science teachers have a good level of self-efficacy, statistically significant.
2- Primary school science teachers have self-efficacy and differences in their efficiency according to the gender variable (male - female) in favor of males.
3- Primary school science teachers have alternative assessment methods in light of modern trends, statistically significant.
4- Primary school science teachers have alternative assessment methods in light of modern trends according to the gender variable (male - female) in favor of males.
5- There is a statistically significant correlation between self-efficacy and alternative assessment methods in light of modern trends among primary school science teachers
