Marchana scholars

Abstract

Studying the history of scholars is one of the most important historical aspects that must be highlighted, because these scholars have a great merit in establishing the rules of science and transmitting them to us. Humanity continues to progress and accelerate its steps until it sent the best nation brought forth for mankind, so that God Almighty may bring mankind out of darkness into light, and establish the crooked religion and guide it to the right path. Studying the history of scholars is one of the most important historical aspects that must be highlighted, because these scholars have a great merit in establishing the rules of science and transmitting them to us, and because the city has civilized aspects, as Marchana was very prosperous during this period, and this is clear to us through the description of the scholars and their intellectual, scientific, cultural and literary productions, despite the fact that the city of Marchana is one of the important Andalusian cities from which a good number of scholars emerged. The subject of this study falls within the framework of civilized communication, specifically the intellectual aspect between Andalusian scholars. Studying the history of scholars is one of the most important historical aspects that must be highlighted, as these scholars have a great role in establishing the foundations of science and transmitting them to us. Hence, the importance of our research entitled (Marshana Scholars), in which we addressed two requirements. The first requirement: We devoted it to the city of Marchana, its location and history, and we shed light on the geographical location of the city of Marchana. We also addressed the fragments that reached us in the sources about the historical events that took place in this important Andalusian city. As for the second requirement: We addressed the scholars of Marchana and their scientific career, and we relied on arranging them alphabetically, and we followed their scientific journeys, their intellectual contributions, and what they provided to the scientific movement. Then we concluded our research with a summary and the most important results we reached, in addition to a list of sources and references.
