The study deals with the illness of Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) according to historical narratives, as the research focuses on analyzing the historical narratives that indicate the nature and severity of the illness, and the differences between those narratives about the nature of Imam Sajjad's (peace be upon him) illness, and discussing and analyzing all those narratives according to the connection between them and comparing them to reality and other narratives. The research also discusses the severity and severity of the illness, when it began, and how long that illness lasted. The study focused on the wisdom of God Almighty in the nature of this illness, and the divine wisdom behind Imam Sajjad's (peace be upon him) illness. We see that the illness of the Imam (peace be upon him) was by the wisdom of God Almighty, as He saved his life from martyrdom in Karbala, to be the true extension of the line and approach of the Imamate. In addition, Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) played a major role in preserving the Islamic approach and conveying the message of the Husseini revolution to the Islamic nation.
The Divine Wisdom behind Imam Sajjad’s (peace be upon him) Illness shows that Imam Sajjad’s (peace be upon him) illness was part of the Divine Will that aimed to preserve the lineage of the family of Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), and to ensure the continued presence of God’s Proof on Earth, in addition to exempting him from the obligation of jihad in those circumstances.
