Abstract

This research aims to know the level of brain dominance patterns and their relationship to cognitive emotions among university students, and the researcher built a scale of brain dominance patterns according to the theory (Ned Hermann 2019) and the apparent validity of the scale was extracted and presented to (22) referees from educational and psychological sciences. The validity coefficient reached (0.81) and the stability was extracted in two ways. The first was the stability coefficient by the retest method (0.79) and the stability coefficient by the Cronbach's alpha method reached (0.82). The researcher adopted the cognitive emotions scale (Khalaf, 2023) and the apparent validity of the scale was extracted and presented to (22) referees from educational and psychological sciences. The validity coefficient reached (100%) and the stability was extracted in two ways. The first was the stability coefficient by the retest method (0.78) and the stability coefficient by the Cronbach's alpha method reached (0.85). The rest of the psychometric properties were extracted, and the application was The scale was based on (400) male and female students at the University of Diyala, and the research reached a set of results, recommendations and proposals.

The research community of university students possesses brain dominance patterns. As well as emotions that affect their lives and their academic achievement and productivity, the problems they encounter in their lives arouse their cognitive emotions. They have cognitive emotions that enable them to adapt to new and different variables and keep pace with developments in various fields.
