The current research aims to reveal the effectiveness of a proposed strategy based on positive thinking skills on the achievement of fifth-grade literary students in Islamic education and the development of their strategic thinking. The researcher selected secondary and preparatory schools in the city of Mosul for the academic year (2023-2024). The research sample consisted of (80) students, with (40) students for the experimental group and the control group. The researcher followed the descriptive approach in preparing the proposed strategy for positive thinking skills and the experimental approach to determine the effectiveness of the proposed strategy on the achievement of fifth-grade students and the development of their strategic thinking. The experimental design consisted of two groups: an experimental group taught using the proposed strategy and a control group taught using the traditional method. The researcher prepared two tools: the first was the achievement test, which consisted of (20) items. The validity and reliability of the tool were verified, and all psychometric properties were extracted. Its reliability reached (0.83). The reliability was extracted using the Cronbach's alpha method for both tools. The second tool was the strategic thinking tool, and the validity of the tool was verified. And its stability is (0.87) and equivalence was carried out in several variables and after processing the data statistically and using different statistical methods, the results showed the presence of statistically significant differences between the two research groups in favor of the experimental group that studied with the proposed strategy according to positive thinking skills in achieving the Islamic education subject and developing their strategic thinking. In light of this, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals.
