Modernity and its tools, their role in the weaving of the novel (The Curse of Spring).

Abstract

This research is about (Modernity and it’s giving the role in the novel “Curse in the Spring”) The term modernity is somewhat new to Kurdish writers like many scientific and philosophical terms, it is taken from other nations and used. This has created a kind of misunderstanding and confusion with each of the terms such as (modernity and modernism). The concept has been defined from several different perspectives, and the origins of the term in literature have been pointed out. This is the relationship between modernity and the novel. Bakhtiar Ali’s worldview about the consequences of modernity on Kurdish society is presented in many ways, based on his experience with modernity. Bakhtiar Ali has not hidden the dangers that the Kurdish society and individuals face as a result of modernity, he considers it his duty to inform the society on the way of his novel. The influence of modernity on the motifs in his novel is also presented. The method considered appropriate and used in conducting this study is the analytical praise method. This method is mostly used in research that is related to the literary aspect. In it, the researcher takes the texts and analyzes and interprets them from various aspects.

Structure of the research: This research consists of two parts: the first part is theoretical and consists of two themes. The first theme presents concepts and terms. The second theme points to the relationship between modernity and literature; The second part consists of two topics: The first topic discusses the motif in Bakhtiar Ali's novel, the second topic discusses the role of modernity in the novel Neferti Nawbaharan.
