Abstract

When studying the good and selected poems of poets in the Abbasid era, we find that they had various disabilities, some of which were physical and some of which were psychological. This is what makes us search for the reasons and motives that have a direct or indirect impact on this, and since the disability had an effective impact in creating this phenomenon, in addition to other factors. Since disability had an effective impact on creating this phenomenon, in addition to other factors, it is necessary to review the various disabilities of many poets to understand the extent of their influence and the results they left on the lives of poets in the Abbasid era and then on their literary output. The research addressed the issue of disabilities affecting creativity, which is one of the complex issues. Many poets have presented it, and it varied according to the disability that the poet suffered from. Often, it was a reason for the poet’s ability and capacity to compensate for this disability, and this differs from one poet to another, in addition to the talent, culture, and creative potential of the poet. These poets tried to draw society’s attention to the great creative potential and to forget the visible disability and the matter hidden within the soul, as the research adopted the analytical method to highlight the psychological state that afflicts these poets while expressing these disabilities.
