Abstract

This research aims to examine the economic aspect of Al-Ajurri's book "Al-Sharia" during the period that included the era of the Prophet and the Rightly-Guided Caliphate. It attempts to uncover the economic principles that were applied in that era and how they affected the emerging Islamic society, while clarifying the concepts of the Islamic economy and the economic foundations laid down by the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, as well as the economic policies followed by the Rightly-Guided Caliphate. The research also reviews the role of zakat and charity in strengthening social solidarity and the importance of trade and agriculture in building the Islamic economy, through analyzing the texts contained in Al-Ajurri's book.
