Psychological resilience and its relationship to cyber bullying among middle school students

Abstract

The current research aims to identify psychological resilience among middle school students, cyberbullying among middle school students, differences in psychological resilience among middle school students according to the gender variable, differences in cyberbullying among middle school students according to the gender variable, and significant differences. Statistics on psychological resilience and its relationship to cyberbullying among middle school students. The researcher relied on a descriptive research approach. (Correlational relationship) The research population consisted of middle school students of both sexes in schools affiliated with the Directorate of Education (Babylon Center) for the academic year (2023-2024). (400) individuals were selected as a sample for the study, with (226) males and (174) males. Females using a simple random method. The researcher built the two research tools based on previously prepared theories in accordance with the nature of the sample. The results resulted in: an increase in psychological resilience among middle school students. And a decrease in cyberbullying among middle school students, and the presence of statistically significant differences in psychological resilience according to the gender variable in favor of females, and the presence of differences in the level of cyberbullying according to the sex variable in favor of females, and the existence of a direct relationship between psychological resilience and cyberbullying, that is, whenever Cyberbullying has increased and psychological resilience has increased.
