Abstract

The acceptance of the purposeful arrangement of verses in the chapters of the Holy Quran is one of the characteristics of contemporary interpretative approaches that assist the interpreter in achieving the main goal and objective of a chapter. Certainly, with the attainment of this goal and objective, the interpreter will provide a relevant and purposeful interpretation of a chapter by looking comprehensively at the collection of verses within it, leading to results such as the demonstration of the miraculous nature of the Quranic style and addressing the doubts regarding the scattered verses. Ayatollah Dr. Sadeqi Tehrani is among the interpreters who emphasize the objectives and purposefulness of the chapters, and with this perspective, he has elaborated on the objectives of the chapters in various instances. What are presented in this writing are the foundations of his viewpoint regarding the objectives of the chapters, which include the predetermined  arrangement of verses and chapters, the placement of Quranic verses within a collection known as a chapter, the necessity of coherence, the miraculous nature of expression, and spiritual correspondence. The discovery of these objectives has been carried out by utilizing the principle of "context" and the "connection of the initial and final verses." in the paper, we have briefly addressed the method of discovering these objectives and the consequences of this approach.
