Abstract

The science of men is a channel and a way to know the degree of authenticity, goodness, or weakness of a hadith, and its position in terms of acceptance or refutation. Therefore, searching for men was a very important method in learning the terminology of hadith, and the multiplicity and abundance of narrators. To address all matters related to the narrator in order to reach the truth.Because of the importance of this knowledge, and its great position in revealing the correct from the incorrect, understanding the meanings of hadith is considered half of knowledge, and knowing men is half of knowledge. So he made knowledge of men half of knowledge, and it is like that. Therefore, knowledge encompasses that the Sunnahs are rulings that apply to a person in his religion, in his private life, and in his family and money, and it is known that whoever rules based on his words and is judged based on his testimony, it is necessary to know his name, his lineage, his justice, and knowledge. In his condition. . If this is required of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon him) It is necessary to investigate the basic principles and foundations of the science of men, whether praise or condemnation. The narrations that were preserved in the books of men and the hadiths of these great and distinguished scholars are the best support for criticizing and amending a number of narrators in the class of companions of the imams. With the end of the era of the Successors, talk began about the necessity of asking about the men of hadith  and the support of narratives.
