The effect of the aesthetic approach strategy on the achievement of first-year intermediate students in the Arabic language subject

Abstract

      The current research aims to reveal the effect of the aesthetic approach strategy on the achievement of first-year intermediate students in the Arabic language subject. The research sample consisted of (50) first-year intermediate students in Al-Hadbaa Secondary School for Boys in the academic city of Mosul (2023-2024) and to achieve the research goal. The researcher prepared an achievement test consisting of (20) items. The test’s validity and reliability were verified using appropriate methods. After implementing the research experiment, the results showed the following: There is a statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average grades of the students of the experimental group that studied according to The aesthetic approach strategy and the grades of the control group that studied according to the usual method of collection.

     The researcher concluded that there is an effect of the aesthetic approach strategy in increasing the achievement of first-year intermediate students.

      Using the aesthetic approach strategy has a significant impact on the achievement of first-year intermediate students in the Arabic language subject. In addition to employing the storytelling strategy in the aesthetic approach, it emphasizes students’ positivity and effectiveness because it uses more than one aspect in order to build and conclude concepts within various educational situations. Diversifying aesthetic approach strategies also generates greater motivation for learning, achieves excitement, pleasure, and suspense, and develops students’ aesthetic sense.
