This research aims to explore the manifestations of displacement in Ibn Zaydoun’s poetry, classify its types (such as syntactic, semantic, and linguistic displacement), analyze the aesthetic functions, and how he used displacement in his poetry, by analyzing the poetic texts that he considered a reason for reaching an understanding of the social cultural history that contributed to Ibn Zaydoun’s poetry, and how to use it in building and intensifying efforts. Revealing the relationship between his use of displacement and the poetic themes he addressed, and highlighting the extent to which this phenomenon contributed to shaping his unique artistic style, the research begins by defining displacement and its importance in poetry. It then moves on to examine examples of Ibn Zaydun's poetry, focusing on how he used language in an unconventional manner.
The research also examines the cultural and social contexts that influenced his poetry, and how these factors contributed to shaping his artistic vision, which emphasizes that displacement is not merely a technique, but rather an expression of a profound vision of the world around him. The research relied on a descriptive and analytical approach, through an induction of a number of Ibn Zaydun's verses that highlight the phenomenon of displacement, and then analyzing these selected texts according to the concepts of displacement.
