Abstract

The scholars of the Islamic nation excelled early in documenting their important works in all fields, especially books of biographies, biographies and incidents, and they devoted a special title to each of these fields, which led to the diversity of these topics and their expansion until they included various aspects of life, as Ibn Taghri Birdi was one of the most important scholars,

of his time. He devoted his life to seeking knowledge, so he worked hard and excelled in classifying many important books that contributed greatly to strengthening and activating the intellectual and scientific movement until his death, may God have mercy on him. Ibn Taghri Birdi did not hold any administrative or political position, and despite the mention of a number of sources of an attempt to appoint him to those positions, other accounts confirmed Ibn Taghri Birdi’s rejection of the temptations of the position in an attempt to devote himself to seeking knowledge. Ibn Taghri Birdi was very interested in his resources, including (thematic specialization) and transmission in his resources. As for the other resources that he was interested in, he would declare them and refer to the owner of those resources. This indicates the scientific integrity that Ibn Taghri Birdi had.
