The study aims to identify the role of emerging technologies in supporting research performance at the Scientific Research Authority / Center for Research and Information and Communication Technology as a model. The study relied on two approaches: the descriptive method / case study and the analytical method, due to their suitability and the study's requirements. The data collection tools were: questionnaire, interview, and reports. The study population consisted of researchers at the Center for Research and Information and Communication Technology, totaling (63) researchers. Researchers holding a master's degree (53) represented (84.1%) of the population, and researchers holding a doctorate (10) represented (15.9%). The researchers reached a set of results, the most important of which is the existence of a strong positive correlation between the independent variable (emerging technologies) and the dependent variable (research performance), which amounted to (0.6). There is also a statistically significant impact with a significance level less than (0.05) and at a significance level of (0.00). The first axis (emerging technologies) showed that the mean was (4.21). The standard deviation reached (0.681), and the percentile weight recorded a value of (84.10%). The results of the second axis (research performance) showed that the overall arithmetic mean reached (4.18), the standard deviation was (0.679), and the percentile weight recorded a value of (83.6%). The statistical analysis results for the objectives fell within the (partially achieved) level, with a percentile weight of (71.333%). The statistical analysis results for the infrastructure amounted to (67.6%). The statistical analysis results for the organizational structure were (79.1%). The study yielded a set of recommendations, including:
Organizing courses and introductory seminars on emerging technologies and their important role in continuously supporting research performance in order to develop skills, providing sufficient financial allocations to support digital transformation projects and emerging technologies that are consistent with research performance.
