Abstract

Arabic literature, both poetry and prose, throughout the ages has been a living mirror reflecting the major transformations and significant events experienced by the nation. Just as poetry has a profound impact on the soul, due to the poets' remarkable ability to convey and translate reality in eloquent and beautiful language that leaves a clear impression, prose is no less important in conveying and translating reality

It constitutes an effective and crucial tool for conveying and translating reality in eloquent and comprehensible language

With the advent of Islam and the establishment of a society governed by Islamic principles and laws, significant opposition arose to confront and resist it. Therefore, they had no option but to fight with both the sword and the pen. Hence, the phenomenon of boldness in the Islamic era emerges as an expression of political stances. Boldness was not merely courage and defiance of the ruling authority, but rather an expression of a rejected reality governed by power, whether that power was contrary to Islamic law or a Muslim authority that deviated from justice. Orators protested this and confronted the ruling authority with eloquent speeches without fear. Therefore, they had no option but to fight with both the sword and the pen, for the pen was no less powerful than the sword. With this great focus on confronting authority and defending Islamic principles, powerful speeches emerged, achieving a clear development in discourse. Thus, the phenomenon of boldness emerges as a response to the political transformations that occurred in society.
