Abstract

This research examines the relationship of the Islamic state during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) with the Arab tribes that practiced peace. It clarifies the concept of peace in the Prophet Muhammad's (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) thought as a diplomatic tool, not a sign of military weakness. A study of the locations of these peace-seeking tribes reveals their strategic importance for trade caravans. Furthermore, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) recognized the importance of these tribes from the moment of his migration to Medina. He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) defined the position of these peace-seeking tribes and was able to neutralize some of them in the conflict with the Quraysh and their allies. These peace-seeking tribes observed the political events of the Islamic state during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and how the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), through his political acumen and military skill, was able to control the regions. Around the city, his leadership became the one directing political events and making decisions. He disrupted the political rapprochement between the forces opposing the Islamic state - the Quraysh and the Jews - and the Arab tribes supporting them at that time. The Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) succeeded in securing trade routes and geographically isolating the Quraysh. These peaceful tribes realized that what the Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) had brought was the truth. After some of their men converted to Islam in the early years of the migration of the Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) to Medina, their numbers increased year after year.
