The media discourse and its types in the poetry of Hassan bin Thabit Al-Ansari (may God be pleased with him)

Abstract

It was my pleasure to study the media discourse and its types in the poetry of Hassan bin Thabit Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), who is considered one of the most prominent poets in Arabic poetry, a veteran poet, a great companion, and one of those about whom the Lord Almighty said: “And those who believed and emigrated and strived in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - those are the believers, truly. For them is forgiveness and noble provision.”  I keep up with his speech, accompanying the progress of the newborn call in its new square, and I closely observe its growth and development in an environment that provided it with the conditions for life and growth, and I stand on the events from the heart of the living reality that the Arabs lived before Islam, and the Arab lifestyle in the Arabian Peninsula, and I also tried in this research to show the relationship between poetry and the media, and how poetry can be included in the concept of media discourse in the era of the Prophet, which adopted poetry as an effective media means, and the strong presence of poetic media in the course of the struggle between truth and falsehood, and the goal of this study was to highlight the media role in the poetry of Hassan bin Thabit Al-Ansari (may God be pleased with him) in the pre-Islamic and Islamic eras, and to spread the call and defend the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) when the poets of Quraysh stood against him and declared their hostility because of the new religion he brought that differed from the religion of their fathers.  When the confrontation between the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the polytheists of Quraysh began, the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered Hassan (may Allah be pleased with him) to respond to them. He took a warlike stance between himself and them, and his tongue poured out missiles of wrath against the poets of the infidels. He set out to carry out his mission with all seriousness and steadfastness. He was one of the most steadfast, loyal, and obedient people to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) since he set foot in Medina. His poetry was one of the most refined forms of human expression, and it was more powerful and stronger than the striking of the sword and arrows. It was the first weapon with which he defended the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the call.  The media discourse confirms the role of the leader in encouraging and guiding Muslims morally, and the Messenger supports and encourages him in that. The Islamic media lived under the wing of the Messenger (peace and blessings of God be upon him) and grew under his care and supervision through many evidences from the poetry of Hassan bin Thabit, which is considered a media outlet in one of the most prosperous eras of Islam, which is the era of the Prophet. For this reason, the title of the research came (Media discourse and its types in the poetry of Hassan bin Thabit Al-Ansari <may God be pleased with him>) in order to know the media in his poetry, especially since the poet lived in two different eras, the Islamic and the pre-Islamic era.
