The phenomenon of phonetic displacement in the poetry of the poet Hasab Sheikh Jafardeewan, "Nakhlat Allah" as an example

Abstract

This study attempts to unveil the important phenomena upon which contemporary stylistic studies are based, namely the phenomenon of displacement. This study explores this phenomenon to understand the aesthetics of poetic texts in contemporary Arabic poetry. We selected a sample of the poet Hasab al-Sheikh Jaafar's poetry, "Nakhlat Allah," as a model. We approached the stylistic approach to his poetry by examining the concept of displacement, its types, and its manifestations, leading us to phonetic displacement, which is the focus of this study. The research addressed its most important types, such as alliteration, repetition, and the return of the miraculous to the first, in samples from Hasab al-Sheikh Jaafar's poetry collection. This reveals his unique approach to employing the displacement technique in his poetry, using a descriptive and analytical approach to reach the desired results of this research, namely, to understand the aesthetics of poetry with the aim of creating an aesthetic impact on the recipient, which adds semantic depth to the poetic text to attract the reader's attention. It also aims to achieve a specific semantic goal desired by the poet by changing a sound or phonetic characteristic in a part of speech.
