The level of mental perceptions among chemistry teachers in the preparatory stage

The aim of the research is to identify the extent to which Chemistry teachers possess the dimensions of mental perceptions and whether there are statistically significant differences due to the gender variable, as the researcher followed the descriptive approach as a methodology for conducting the current research. Dimensions, and the psychometric characteristics of each of them represented by honesty and stability were extracted, and the current research community was defined by teachers of the preparatory stage and the preparatory section in secondary schools / the scientific branch throughout the Diwaniyah governorate for the academic year (2023-2024), as the researcher used the stratified random sample method in selecting physics teachers The number of the sample was (100) male and female teachers, with (50) male and (50) female teachers.
The research resulted in a set of results, the most important of which are:
1. Chemistry teachers have a medium level of mental perceptions, desiring them to possess the teaching competencies that qualify them to carry out their role successfully.
2. There are statistically significant differences in mental perceptions according to the gender variable (male, female) attributed to males
3. The Ministry of Education must focus on developing the capabilities of the teaching staff by using modern teaching methods and emphasizing the use of technology in classrooms.
