The phenomenon of alienation in contemporary Kurdish poetry (Shirkobeks) as a model

Abstract

Alienation is a psychological and social experience that has impacted human thinking throughout history, sometimes even altering the course of an individual’s life. Poets, due to their heightened sensitivity to both the world and the inner workings of the human soul, often express this sense of alienation in their work. One poet who vividly captures this theme is the renowned Kurdish poet Sherko Bekas. His life, shaped by factors such as being distanced from his homeland and family, experiencing self-estrangement, being involved in revolution, and living in exile in the mountains, deeply reflects the phenomenon of alienation in his poetry.

The nature of the research requires us to follow the descriptive analytical approach, because the different points of the phenomenon itself become clear to the reader through the analysis of the poet's texts, and its different dimensions appear.
