       This research aims to uncover the electoral campaign of an important political figure who played a pivotal role in the history of the United States of America in the twentieth century, to the point that a number of interested parties differed in their evaluation of it. Some saw it as a unique model in American political history, as it combined an innovative electoral strategy with a political program based on values ​​and an effective response to the political and social circumstances at the time, outlining the way to deal with the risks and challenges facing the United States. Others considered it a decline in performance during the general elections. However, this is what called

 for, according to an objective, academic, scientific vision, to present the campaign of candidate Jimmy Carter in its true image without distortion.

         In accordance with the above, this research represents a modest and serious attempt to fill some of the gap in the study of contemporary American history. It represents new additions based on scholarly material drawn from important sources, including documents, books, letters, academic dissertations, and encyclopedias directly related to the topic, which culminated in the election of Carter as the thirty-ninth president of the United States. The research includes three axes. The first addresses Jimmy Carter's electoral strategy, providing a brief overview of the beginnings of his thinking about running for president. The second axis addresses candidate Carter's political platform, while the final axis focuses on the competition between Jimmy Carter and President Gerald Ford.
