Abstract

This study deals with the geographical distribution of fodder crops (Alfalfa and clover) in Al-Anbar governorate from 2012 to 2022. The study problem appeared as a question "Are the natural and human factors have the effect on the geographical distribution of fodder crops (Alfalfa and clover) and is there a difference among the governorate districts concerning the cultivated area, income and production"? The supposition is that the natural and human factors have the effect on the geographical distribution of fodder crops (Alfalfa and clover) and there is a difference among the governorate districts concerning the cultivated area, income and production. The study reached to many results, such as the natural and human factors have the effect on the geographical distribution of fodder crops ( Alfalfa and clover ), but they don’t constitute an obstacle for expansion of growing and producing crops, the study showed that the area, income and production of fodder crops     ( Alfalfa and clover ) during the study time is in increasing, where in 2022 the rates are much more than in 2012, in 2022 the area for Alfalfa is about (9444) acres , income is about (5645) kg/acres and production is about (56849) tons, while in 2012 the area for Alfalfa is about (7724) acres , income is about (5609) kg/acres and production is about (46491) tons while the clover in 2022 has area of about (5557) acres, income of about (4900) kg/acres and production of about (27867) tons while in 2012 the area is about (4908) acres, income of about (4670) kg/acres and production of about (23244) tons. The study showed the difference among the governorate districts concerning the cultivated area, income and production of fodder crops (Alfalfa and clover).
