Air transport occupies great importance in transporting people and goods among other modes of transport, due to its ability to transport long distances and in a shorter time, as people and expensive goods are transported between different countries of the world, and from here came the importance of the research to show the movement of air transport for the period (2015-2022). Represented by the movement of passengers and goods, it was found that the number of international flights increased from (42,721) in the year 2015 to (70,486) in the year 2022, with an annual change rate of (8.1%). The movement of aircraft varies from year to year, as Baghdad, Najaf and Erbil airports recorded the highest movement, and the number of aircraft increased. The number of landing aircraft increased from (21,397) in 2015 to (35,244) in 2022. The number of departing aircraft increased from (21,324) in 2015 to (35,224) in 2022. As for the number of domestic flights, it increased from (14,188) in 2015 to ( 15,812) in the year 2022, with an annual change rate of (1.4%). Baghdad International Airport ranked first, then came the other airports, and the number of international passengers (arrivals) increased from (2,504,609) passengers in the year 2015 to (3,809,755) passengers in the year 2022, with an annual change rate of (6.5). %) As for departures, they increased from (2,518,618) passengers to (3,789,463) passengers, with an annual change rate of (6.3%). As for (local) arriving passengers, their number decreased from (479,882) passengers in the year 2015 to (372,376) passengers in the year 2022. The number of departures decreased from 580,933) passengers in the year 2015 to (374,374) passengers in the year 2022. As for the transport of goods, the amount of unloaded goods increased from (7,529,134) kg in the year 2015 to (28,459,748) kg in the year 2022, with an annual change rate of (34.7%). and the load from (398,050) kg in the year 2019 to (29,205,733) kg in the year 2022, with an annual change rate of (376.6%).
