The current research aims to identify the school dropout among intermediate school students in light of some variables from the school administration's point of view. The researcher used the descriptive survey method as it suits the nature of the research, and the sample consisted of middle school principals affiliated with Mosul District Education. To achieve the research objective, the researcher prepared the research tool in the form of a questionnaire consisting of (15) paragraphs related to school dropout. Its validity and reliability were verified, as well as other questions related to the number of dropouts and their academic stages. After applying the tool to the research sample members and analyzing it statistically, the researcher reached the following results: Male students are more susceptible to dropout than female students, and the dropout rates increased from the third grade, then the first grade, and finally the second grade. The dropout rate was greater in the second semester than in the first semester. The results also indicated that there was no statistically significant difference in the frequency of dropout according to the variables of gender and academic semester, while there was a statistically significant difference between the frequency of the number of dropouts according to the academic stage. In light of the results, the researcher recommended the need to prepare mobile educational teams to visit villages and cities to encourage dropouts to return to school.
