Abstract

 The research aims to show the emergence and activity of Al-Urwa AlWuthqa Association within one of the private foreign educational institutions in Lebanon, as well as the association’s aims in promoting pioneering Arabic nationalist thought among its graduates and developing society, thought, politics, and the problems surrounding the debate of the subject itself.

 Al-Urwa Al-Wuthqa Association emerged in as an intellectual and cultural student movement expressing the nationalist orientation to form spiritual, cultural, and social bonds for the sake of independence, sovereignty, unity, dignity, and the crystallization of an Arab movement, they association underwent several influential stages, including practicing rhetoric and writing in classical Arabic. Then, the concepts and theoretical framework of Arab nationalist thought represented a prelude to the emergence of organizations and intellectual currents of a political and cultural nature that crystallized in the next stage, which is the beginning of political ideology in application, implementation, and actual practice of political and party activity in a clear and influential way that went beyond the framework of the American University in Beirut, where it grew up in, and in Lebanon. until its end in the events of 1955 due to its patriotic and nationalist activity in Lebanon and the Arab world..
