The personality poem of the poet Jamal Jumah - selections from his poems –Descriptive analytical study

Abstract

The era was modern and the changes it included on several practical, scientific, artistic and cultural levels had a great impact on the literary arts, including the poetic arts, as several artistic and literary phenomena appeared on the poetic scene that moved poetry to new levels, in addition to that, its openness to other arts that excelled in its manifestation.  With new solutions and advantages, one of these modern artistic phenomena that the modern poet resorted to in order to color his poems, characterize them with features of beauty, and express with them his lived reality and his tragedy, is the personal poem, as it benefited from other literary arts represented by the story, the novel, the play, the epic, and poetic romance, thus becoming an artistic phenomenon that inspired poets of the era.  Talking to compose poetic texts based primarily on a specific character in order to express through it a societal phenomenon or a humanitarian crisis, using it as a means to sharpen the recipient’s mind and involve him in the poetic process in order to have a role in resolving these humanitarian crises. Jamal Juma's poems are characterised by deep feelings and sincere emotions, wrapped in a smooth and flexible style, and distinguished by a calm rhythm that suits the nature of the important topics he addresses in his poems.
