Academic Optimism and its Relationship to Emotional Freedom among University Students

Abstract

The aim is to know the academic optimism and emotional freedom among students. And the correlation between academic optimism and freedom. Achieving these goals requires adopting the Al-Atabi Academic Optimism Scale (2021). The scale may be in its final form of (30) paragraphs after conducting the necessary statistical analyses. The researcher also adopted the Mahdi Emotional Freedom Scale (2020), which included (30) paragraphs. Paragraph after conducting the necessary statistical analyses, the researcher also adopted the Emotional Freedom Scale Mahdi (2020), which included (30) paragraphs, after conducting the necessary statistical analyses. The two tools were applied to a sample of (300) male and female students from Al-Qadisiyah University for the academic year 2023-2024, who were selected using a simple random method and an equal approach, with (150) males and (150) females.After completing the data collection, it was processed using appropriate statistical methods, including the t-test for a single sample, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and analysis of variance. The research came out with a set of results, the most important of which is that students of both genders have. These results were interpreted according to the theory adopted for each of the research measures. Based on these results, the researcher presents a set of recommendations and suggestions.
