Abstract

Research Summary This study was conducted in Iraq at the College of Basic Education, University of Kufa. It aimed to evaluate the performance of student teachers in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Basic Education, University of Kufa, in light of enjoyable learning principles. To achieve this objective, the researcher employed the descriptive survey methodology. The research sample consisted of (31) student teachers (both male and female) from the Arabic Language Department for the (2023–2024) academic year. The research instrument was an observation checklist comprising (6) main domains of enjoyable learning and (37) sub-indicators to measure the extent to which enjoyable learning was present in the performance of student teachers The researcher presented the instrument to a panel of experts specializing in education, psychology, Arabic language, and teaching methodologies to ensure its validity. Afterward, it was applied to a pilot sample to confirm its reliability. Subsequently, the researcher implemented the instrument on the main research sample, and the findings revealed that the performance level was "moderate" and did not meet the desired standard. The researcher set a weighted mean of (2) as the cut-off score and a percentage weight of (66%) to determine the performance level. Key Findings & Recommendations The researcher concluded that the overall performance of the Arabic Language student teachers in the study sample was moderate in terms of enjoyable learning. Based on this, the study recommended the following: Emphasizing the integration of enjoyable learning strategies and activities within the Arabic language curriculum at the elementary level. Enhancing courses in educational psychology, general teaching methods, and Arabic language teaching methodologies at the university level by incorporating enjoyable learning principles and strategies, along with mechanisms for their implementation in the classroom. Suggested Research Directions Analyzing the activities in elementary-level reading textbooks (upper primary grades) in light of enjoyable learning principles. Developing a program based on enjoyable learning domains and measuring its impact on developing language skills among elementary school students. ملخص البحث أجري هذا البحث في العراق في كلية التربية الأساسية/ جامعة الكوفة، وهدف إلى تقويم أداء مطبقي قسم اللغة العربية في كلية التربية الأساسية / جامعة الكوفة في ضوء التعليم الممتع. ولتحقيق الهدف استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفيّ المسحيّ، إذ تكوّنت عيّنة البحث من (31) مطبقا ومطبقة في قسم اللغة العربية للعام الدراسي (2023 - 2024 ) أما أداة البحث فكانت استمارة ملاحظة تكونت من (6) مجالات رئيسة للتعليم الممتع، و(37) مؤشرا فرعيا لقياس توافر التعليم الممتع لدى مطبقي ومطبقات قسم اللغة العربية، عرض الباحث الأداة على مجموعة من المحكمين المتخصصين في التربية وعلم النفس واللغة العربية وطرائق تدريسها التّأكد من صدق الأداة، ثم طبقها على العينة الاستطلاعية للتأكد من ثباتهما، بعد ذلك طبقها الباحث على العينة الأساسية فأظهرت نتائج البحث: إن مستوى الاداء جاء بدرجة (متوسطة) ولم يرتقي للمستوى المطلوب , اذ حدد الباحث الوسط المرجح (2) كدرجة قطع والوزن المئوي (66%), لتحديد مستوى توافر الأداء. وفي ضوء نتائج البحث استنتج الباحث أن أداء مطبقي أقسام اللغة العربية ومطبقاتها (عينة البحث) كان ضعيفا بشكل عام في ضوء التعليم الممتع. وأوصى بضرورة الاهتمام باستراتيجيات ونشاطات التعليم الممتع وتوظيفها في المنهج المقرر للغة العربية في المرحلة الابتدائية، فضلا تعزيز مقررات علم النفس التربوي وطرائق التدريس العامة، وطرائق تدريس اللغة العربية في المرحلة الجامعية في بمبادئ واستراتيجيات ونشاطات التعليم الممتع وآليات توظيفها داخل الفصل الدراسي. واقترح مقترحات عدة منها : تحليل نشاطات كتب القراءة في المرحلة الابتدائية للصفوف الثلاثة العليا في ضوء التعليم الممتع. اعداد برنامج قائم على مجالات التعليم الممتع وقياس أثره في تنمية المهارات اللغوية لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الابتدائية.
