Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effect of the listening triangle strategy in developing the recitation skill of fourth-grade middle school students. The research used the experimental method. The researcher chose for this purpose a sample of fourth-grade middle school students at (Al-Hussein Middle School for Boys) consisting of (40) students who were distributed into two groups: the first experimental group, numbering (20) students, section (C), who were taught using the listening triangle strategy, and the second control group, numbering (20) students, who were taught using the (traditional) method. A test was prepared to measure the recitation skill, consisting of (5) paragraphs specified with (20) concepts. The results showed statistically significant differences between the average scores of the students of the (experimental) and (control) groups in the post-application of the recitation skill test, in favor of the (experimental) group. The study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which is (employing the listening triangle strategy as one of the modern methods in teaching, due to its clear impact in consolidating the recitation skill among fourth-year middle school students). Work on multiple modern methods and strategies because they increase students’ achievement better than the traditional method. Present this strategy (the listening triangle) to the relevant committees in the Ministry of Education for the purpose of benefiting from it by preparing appropriate curricula in the subject of Islamic education.
